What themes run throughout your work? Childlike innocence meets grown up evil.
How do you hope your work will affect its audience? I want to put smiles on people’s faces, at least get them to see the funny sides of things.
Where do your talents lie? I draw, I paint, and I do digital.
Has anyone taught you how to use your talent better? My tutors from college had opened my eyes to endless possibilities.
What makes you creative? I encounter weird things; I dream about weird things. I take inspirations from life, I catch the stars from the sky, and I mix them together with a blender- I make the best cakes! I mean I’m an artist.
How did you get started? When I was about 5, one day I decided to draw on the kitchen floor with chalks, and mummy didn’t get mad with me! Instead she told me that I was talented. Then there were extra afterschool art lessons.
What inspires you? All beautiful things inspire me
Who inspires you? Alexander McQueen, Oliver Jeffers, Antoni Gaudi, Vogue, Lady Gaga, my best friends ...my mum.
What do you do when you are suffering from creative block? I usually do a lot of research before I start. If I still find it difficult, I try to relax myself by taking a walk.
What are you trying to achieve? I want to change the world by doing the littlest things.
Do you collaborate? heads are better than 1! As long as we can communicate well, I don’t say no.
Ignoring money and all of life’s woes, what would you want to be? House wife.
Accepting the need for money and all of life’s woes, what do you want to be? Be an illustrator and run a business at the same time. Or house wife.
What’s the most amazing thing you’ve ever seen / heard / experienced? Park Guell is the most magical place. I loved it when I saw the photos in lectures; I loved it when I was actually there. I felt so inspired. I wouldn’t mind going there everyday if I live in Barcelona.
What do you consider to be the most important thing in life? Money, love is all important. But the most important thing is faith! believing that everything is possible, and nobody can tell you what you can not be.
Who/what is your nemesis and why? Myself. There are days, I tell myself that I’m not good enough. In the end of the day, I am my own best friend. Who else is going to love me if I don’t love myself.
Artist Statement: The world I present is the childlike innocence with a dark and mystical edge, which is also deeply sensual. I draw, I paint, and I do digital. All beautiful things inspire me. Fairytales, fashion, films, nature, people… the things happening around me. I take photos of the ordinary things I see, whether is a tree in a park, a pretty dress in a shop window, or a blueberry muffin on a coffee table. All of these things can later become my creative references. In my eyes, dreams are like bubbles. They are fragments of memories and desires, living in the subconscious minds. Take care of your dreams. They are delicate things. Let them grow, set them free. They make you laugh, make you wonder, make you want to find out what’s on the other side of the rainbow... I’m a dreamer.
